The blend
We print 57% merino, 39% nylon, 4% spandex on every pair. Darn Tough calls theirs a "merino wool blend" and leaves it there. We’d rather show our work.
The guarantee
Darn Tough packs extra nylon into the sole, a process called high splicing, to armor it. It also packs the sole so full of yarn that the sock loses stretch and stops hugging your foot. We skip it on purpose.

If the guarantee is basically the same, why does the blend matter?
Because a vague blend hides more than it protects. That 4% spandex is the difference between a sock that holds its shape and one that sags by lunch. We put the number on the label because it tells you the sock will still fit right in month six, not just month one.
Do I have to buy socks to use my Grip6 guarantee elsewhere?
No. One guarantee, one company. It applies to whatever Grip6 product you own, a belt, a wallet, or a pair of socks, the same way.
