Socks come in so many variations today that it can be hard to know what to pick. We’ve studied women’s wool socks to find the best blend, design, and fit. From our extensive research, these are some of the top features we’ve found to be important in women’s wool socks.

At GRIP6, it’s important to us that we make products that we want to use, too. This means that we make products that are up to our high standards! So we worked tirelessly to find the most comfortable women's wool sock out there (and we’re still trying to make it even better). So comfort came in at number one on our priority list. 

One of the ways we’ve made this women's wool sock so comfortable is by creating a unique merino wool blend that gives you all the benefits of wool without the stiffness and scratchiness that sometimes comes with the fiber. We also selected merino wool as our fiber of choice because of its comfort, durability, and moisture-wicking properties. But more on those later. 

Durability

There’s nothing worse than buying something and throwing it away just months later because it already wore out. We design our products to last decades, not days. You’ll save money, because you won’t have to buy new socks every other month. We brought this approach to our belt and wallet designs and did not give it up when it came to our women's wool socks.

Breathability

Say goodbye to sweaty, smelly feet, because our merino wool blend ensures your feet stay dry and sweat-free. Whether you’re exercising, at the office, or just relaxing at home, having a breathable sock was an important quality we wanted to commit to getting absolutely right. 

Merino wool is unique because it insulates and cools. Similar to how a metal thermos keeps the drink inside of it the temperature it was originally—either a hot drink or a cold one—merino wool is perfect for both hot and cold days. You can own half of the socks you previously had to, because you won’t have to wear different pairs in the summer!

We wanted an all-season sock, and we’re proud that our women's merino wool socks provide that. 

 

Sustainable Supply Chain

We believe it’s important to know where your products come from and how they’re sourced. And our women's wool socks are no exception. We source our wool from ranches in the Rocky Mountains, with everything else that goes into our products sourced from the United States as well. We’re committed to being an American-made company that sources materials from our own backyard rather than from halfway across the world. 

Owning every step in the process means your products turn out better, because we monitor all the components that go into making the best sock possible. 

Style

We also make socks that are stylish and visually-appealing. With a variety of colors and patterns, there’s a wool sock for everyone. 

If you’re looking for a more neutral womens wool sock, our Approach XT  light gray) and Fastback (dark gray) are great ankle sock styles. For something flashier, our Approach Pacific has unique blues and greens for a light, bright pattern. The Fastback Zion has a mix of black, red, and orange for a bold, dark style. 

In our crew socks, we have two bright, unique designs: either our Overland Blue or Overland Orange are both unique styles that stand apart from other women's wool socks.
