Robots have helped us automate and perfect the quality of our buckles. But robots are really only as good as the engineer who codes and develops the robot. Not only have our robots saved us significant space and time but robots have also opened up a world of creative possibilities for different designs.

I assume color is added after the chamfing process. Are there certain colors that were tried at the beginning and didn’t work out?

It is always so cool to watch robots doing all these detailed machining tasks previously done by humans. Thank you Jacob and Amol for showing us the types of operations involved in the manufacture of the famous Grip6 buckles! I have worked with metalworking lathes back in the day and then CNCs and now fully autonomous robots and the this progression will, hopefully one day, free us from having to handle such arduous and sometimes dangerous operations.
