Hi! I'm Mel! I manage the Wholesale department here at GRIP6. I oversee inside sales and order fulfillment. The best part about my job, besides working with such a great team, is building relationships with our dealers and corporate/event accounts. If you don't own a retail store or a corporation, and aren't a disc golf tournament director, I can still help you! GRIP6 belts can become an addiction if you aren't careful. The buckles and straps are interchangeable, so it's easy to get carried away and want to wear a different combination everyday.
I love the Pacific Northwest, so my favorite buckles are naturally a custom etching of a whale on our Walnut buckle, and a cityscape of downtown Seattle. I like to match them with either our Red or BlueJay straps. If you don't have a custom idea, I love any of our cutout buckles. Our belts are great because when I am traveling, either in a car or plane, I can't feel that I'm wearing a belt. When I'm out hiking or discovering a new city, I don't have to worry about adjusting my belt.
The thing I love most about our wallets is that I don't have to open anything to get what I need. It's all right there with a squeeze of a lever. For years I had a velcro wallet that was noisy and took too long to get into. The leather sleeve adds a nice look, and it's also functionable to hold a few extra cards and cash.
Now for the socks. I'm married to the GRIP6 Sock Guru, so I'm usually one of the first to get to try out a new style. It's so fun, and it's made me a wool sock snob. I'll never be able to wear polyester or cotton ever again. The material is comfortable and molds nicely to my feet. Being so close to the sock department has been very captivating. I love taking customers over to our knitting machines and showing them the creation of a sock. It's an amazing opportunity because it's not everyday you see how a sock is made.
